Sports Betting Philippines: The Rules Behind Any Stake
Inside PAGCOR, the Electronic Gaming Licensing Department oversees local gaming operations that take sports bets, and that office hands out one gaming licence per game offering rather than a blanket permit. Web and app betting hangs off a licensed land venue, and only registered players may use it. Nobody under 21 may use any online gaming platform, whatever the game.

Sabong on the Sports Menu
The Sports menu also shows a tile for DS88 “Diamond Sabong”. E-sabong went under a nationwide suspension on 3 May 2022 and has not restarted. What keeps that suspension running is Executive Order No. 9, signed 28 December 2022; in September 2024 the PAGCOR chairman said the regulator will abide by it.
Nothing on these pages points you to a sabong bet. Traditional, licensed cockfights are outside the order, but they are in-person events, not an online betting product.
